Sports Performance Coach

Sean Kao

Sean is a swim and sports performance coach with experience working with a variety of levels and sports including youth, high school, NCAA, and Olympic athletes.

Prior to ASP, Sean served as a sports performance coach at the Center for Athletic Performance & Physical Therapy in Scottsdale, Arizona where he was responsible for high school sports teams including the 18u AAA Jr. Coyotes, Blackhawks Soccer, AZ Kings Volleyball, Ignite Volleyball Club, and Del Sol Soccer. He also served as a full-time swim coach at Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team.

Sean completed an internship at Arizona State Sports Performance assisting with both collegiate and professional athletes.

Sean received his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State University where he completed his thesis on strength training for swimmers, which has since been published in the Journal of Swimming Research.

As an athlete, Sean competed for Arizona State University Swimming, qualified for the American Open Series as an Olympic Weightlifter, and competes as a heavyweight in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
